Extensive experience and a real understanding of transport needs coupled with multi-disciplinary skills and the latest technology, ensures Met Consulting Engineers deliver innovative, cost effective design solutions every time.

Met has over 30 years of experience in the planning and design of roads and drainage. All stages of the design process are project managed by Met from initial planning concepts, feasibility studies and designs, through to construction.

Effective planning and design is crucial when working on any project. Met adopts a partnership approach in the design and engineering of highways, providing innovative engineering solutions that meet both public and private sector needs.

Projects undertaken range in size from access roads for new housing estates to major distributors, roads and bypasses. The scope of project varies greatly from junction improvement schemes, such as roundabouts, traffic signals to the upgrading of priority junctions.

Land surveys are initially conducted to establish the data to be used as a ground model. The highways are then designed utilising the latest software packages.

Met Consulting Engineers can supervise construction with setting-out, measurement and testing services, and maintains open channels of communication with local authorities throughout. Thus ensuring that all discussions and negotiations required under the Highways Act 1980 and Town and Country Planning Act 1990 are carried out so that highway improvement schemes meet the requisite standards for future adoption.
